I've been taking my vehicles to Lancer Service for nearly 10 years. I've been extremely satisfied not only with the quality of work but also with the excellence of service. The shop and waiting area are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The business is run efficiently, and employees go to great lengths to accommodate the needs and requests of customers. They keep meticulous maintenance records, which are available to customers online. Most importantly, these guys are trustworthy. There have been many times when the mechanics have presented me with several options -- more expensive and less expensive -- and recommended the less expensive one. They'll never recommend a repair that isn't necessary. They have an excellent warranty policy, which they honor scrupulously. The cost of auto repairs is often painful, but it helps to know that the car is in the hands of experts.

While visiting MN from St. Louis, my colleague and I were on our way to a meeting when we realized that the hood to her car was not properly latched. We could not continue on the highway and pulled off as soon as we noticed. We took it to Lancer and asked how long it would take to fix and how much it would cost. Carl came out, pulled the car into the bay and fixed the problem in minutes AT NO CHARGE. It was so amazing and we made our meeting in plenty of time. If I lived in the area, I would take my car to Lancer!

These guys were awesome! On my way to a business meeting when I realized the hood of my car wasn't latching--they hurried out and fixed it within a matter of minutes and didn't even charge me. I'll definitely be back!

If you're not mechanically inclined yourself and you want a mechanic who can explain what they found in plain English, Lancer is an excellent place to go. They are fabulous about explaining what needs to be fixed right away, what can wait a month or two, and what is just something that's wrong, but does not really effect the safe operation of your vehicle. I recently brought in my Toyota because my A/C wasn't giving me any cooling and they obviously had a full workload, but none the less they were able to fit me in and quickly discovered the problem (a wire to the compressor had broken), changed the oil as I asked and refilled my A/C since they discovered there was about 1/2 the coolant in there than was standard. They called and explained everything and got the work done faster than they estimated.

Last November while heading home to California from our Wisconsin cabin and with the temperature at 17 degrees, we had a serpentine belt and idler arm to break on our Jeep. We called AAA and they towed us to one of their recommended repair shops, which happened to be Lancer Auto Care. We arrived about 3:30 in the afternoon. Since it was so close to closing time and because the extent of the damage was unknown when we first arrived, we were told that repairs might not be made until the next day. We were in a panic because not only did we not know of a hotel to go to, or how to get there, we were also traveling with a 125 pound German Shepherd that had been a rescued dog and still had some problems from former abuse. What hotel would welcome us with our dog? Understanding our situation, Lancer Service Department immediately started working on our Jeep, determined the problem, ordered parts and by 5 PM we were ready to go. During this time, they made us feel very welcome and even made friends with our dog by giving him dog cookies. We drove all night and were in Colorado when we received a call from Lancer to check on the repair. We made it home safely and the next week received another call from Lancer to again check on the repair. What service!!! How lucky people living in the Saint Paul, MN are to have a auto repair shop such as this one. I might add that the repairs were very and I mean very reasonable in cost. This was a situation where we could have received a very expensive repair bill but the people at Lancer are not only great repairmen but they are very honest in dealing with their customers. While I don't wish for anymore problems with our Jeep, if we do when we travel back there this year again, I hope it is within towing distance to Lancer Service. We are going to tell all of our Minnesota neighbors at the lake about this great auto repair shop. They are the best. Thanks to all the workers at the shop. You are all a credit to your profession.Donetta S
