Although most of us feel like Spring is right around the corner, we still have a few remaining months of cold weather. As an auto repair shop, we field calls on a daily basis with customers who have very similar issues due to the climate we live in. With that, we thought it would be helpful to offer a list of top items to keep an eye on so your vehicle continues to run smoothly throughout the duration of the winter months.
● Battery Age and Performance: Did you know? Typical battery life in our climate is around 4 years. We check battery performance and age during oil services. If you’re getting to that 4 year mark, give us a call and we can check your battery at no charge.
● Oil Level and Quality: Engine oil is the most important item for proper engine performance. Making sure oil is clean and full will prevent engine damage and improve cold weather operation. Did you know? We use full synthetic oil in all services. Set up an appointment for your next oil service and receive a complimentary inspection to ensure your vehicle is in good working condition.
● Tire Condition and Pressure: Take a look at your tires, inspect for cracking and check the pressure. Did you know? We sell tires. Snow tires provide extra traction in the winter months and doing a full winter tire and wheel package can save on installation costs when swapping out your winter/summer tires in the Spring and Fall. Interested in All Season tires? Don’t worry, we have options for this as well.
Of course, if you have any questions or concerns, we’re always here to help. Give us a call any time and we’ll help you navigate any of your vehicle repair needs. Ready to set up an appointment today? Set up your appointment online by clicking here.
